Lithuania’s flag is an interesting piece of history! During the 19th Century, the original design of the flag was created. Sources disagree on the exact origins of its creator, but most agree that the designer lived in Europe or within the United States. Initially, the Lithuanian flag was red, white, and green. In today’s world, the flag is (as shown) yellow, green, and red. The yellow on the flag represents the golden lands of Lithuania. The green represents the woods and lush terrain that embodies the country. Finally, the red symbolizes the blood that has been spilt for Lithuania.
